During the last 5-6 years the fields of application where ACTI-GEL® 208 gives noticeable advantages have increased and it has showed to give improved properties to many products in concrete, joint compounds, paint, self-levelling products, plasters and others.
Acti-Gel 208® is a new product, developed in the year 2000. It is a unique, highly purified hydrous magnesium aluminium silicate offering a combination of excellent stability and workability for many water based products.
Acti-Gel® 208 is made from a patented process that creates pure, uniformly sized, rod–shaped mineral particles. It is a high performance, thixotropic anti-settling agent and rheology modifier used in a wide variety of water based industrial applications – regardless of pH!
From the producer Active Minerals we also have Min-U-Gel® available, which is stable, reliable and low-cost gelling grade attapulgites in powdered form, used as thickener in divers applications.
